REAL CLUB DE GOLF EL PRAT

El Prat is wonderfully located in the natural beauty of Llorenc del Munt l’Obac National Park, a peaceful nature reserve only 20km or so from the city.
You can stay in central Barcelona or at the splendid four-star La Mola Golf Hotel, located on-site at the golf resort. Visitors are welcome to play at the club and for those staying at La Mola there are stay-and-play packages as well as a daily complimentary buggy transfer to the clubhouse.
Real Club De Golf El Prat
One of Spain’s best golf resorts, this club has hosted the Spanish Open no less than 10 times. In 2003 Greg Norman designed 45 holes of great variation, consisting of five sets of nine holes: Abajo, Arriba, Piscina, Bosque and Valles, each built to USGA specification.
The two main 18-hole courses are the Pink course, combining Bosque and Arriba, and the Yellow course, Piscina and Abajo. The Green course combines Abajo and Valles. Pink is probably the best and most demanding with more bunkering, while all three can be stretched to over 7,000 yards from the back tees. Each tee box has seven markers to cater for players of all abilities.
As a whole, the golf courses are excellently maintained and are inspired by Norman’s reverence for classic, traditional designs and his belief in promoting environmental sustainability. All the layouts make the most of the soft natural slopes of the terrain while preserving the park’s indigenous forests. It’s a resort of great beauty with wide fairways, tricky green-side bunkering and tall pine trees which are a signature feature.
La Mola Golf Hotel
The La Mola Golf Hotel has 185 modern and comfortable guest rooms with calming views over the surrounding park. They all come with air conditioning, satellite TV and Wi-Fi. The hotel operates a semi all-inclusive concept which provides bed & breakfast along with unlimited soft drinks, tea and coffee throughout your stay, along with a daily aperitif before dinner.
Buffet or a three-course menu is under €40 per person including wine, while tapas dining is around half that price. Dinner will get you access to the unique Golfer’s Bar – one of three bars at the hotel – a dedicated bar for golfers where guests have access to help yourself drinks stations rather than bar service.
You can also relax in the spa and make use of the hammam, sauna, indoor and outdoor pools, jacuzzi, fitness centre and a range of massage services and hydrotherapy treatments. Other activities include mountain biking, archery and hiking routes through the forests and nature park.
Soak up the city
Another option is to stay in the heart of the city itself, close to all the cultural attractions, bars and restaurants. Located on the famous Las Ramblas and just minutes from Plaza de Catalunya, the Gothic Quarter, the food market and the beach, is the four-star Royal Ramblas.
It offers modern rooms with air conditioning, TV and free Wi-Fi, some with magnificent views of Las Ramblas. Enjoy the buffet breakfast in the La Poma restaurant before you head out to the exciting streets of one of Europe’s great cultural cities.
